Mark Allain is an associate in the firm’s Admiralty & Maritime section. He represents the interests of insurers, vessel owners, P&I clubs, cargo interests, freight forwarders, and freight brokers in insurance coverage disputes, cargo claims, and related maritime and transportation matters in both federal and state courts. Before joining Frilot, Mr. Allain handled professional liability matters, defending attorneys and insurance professionals in various claims.

Mr. Allain earned his J.D. from Tulane University Law School, where he served as Managing Editor of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal and as a Dean Rufus Harris Peer Fellow, mentoring first-year law students. While in law school, he also worked as a student attorney with the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic, representing indigent clients in administrative and federal court proceedings under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA, CERCLA, and EPA Environmental Justice regulations.
