Professionalism in Trial Practice: Sperling Leads CLE Course

On November 9th, Frilot attorney Peter Sperling took part in the New Orleans Bar Association's 11th Hour Professionalism & Ethics CLE. He lead "Professionalism in Trial Practice - Views from the Bench and Bar", along with Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott, Orleans Parish Civil District Court and attorney Irving Warshauer.

They discussed the importance of trying to be professional in dealing with various issues that arise during discovery and at trial.

Frilot LLC Welcomes Rodney "Rocky" Seydel to the Firm

 Frilot LLC is pleased to welcome Rodney A. "Rocky" Seydel, Jr. to the firm.  He will practice in the firm's Medical Malpractice & Healthcare, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Commercial Litigation sections.

A seasoned litigator, Mr. Seydel has focused on general casualty litigation, including medical malpractice, premises liability, automobile liability and products liability.  He has also taken part in  over 1,500 mediations primarily involving commercial disputes, maritime and oilfield litigation, personal injury matters, and insurance disputes. He participated in over 100 mediations of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita insurance claims.

Mr. Seydel is admitted to practice in Louisiana and before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana. Mr. Seydel resides in New Orleans and is involved in a variety of civic activities.

Patrick Ray Elected Member of the Firm

Frilot is pleased to announce R. Patrick Ray was elected member of the firm.Patrick practices in the Admiralty & Maritime practice area. Patrick represents a variety of clients from international Protection and Indemnity insurers to hull insurers, vessel owners, oil companies, and oil service contractors. Patrick specializes in maritime personal injury cases, including Jones Act and Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act cases. He also has worked on litigation stemming from the BP oil spill.

Patrick graduated with honors from the Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans in 2010 after receiving an undergraduate degree in Economics, Political Science, and Business Administration from Louisiana State University.
