Heather McArthur is an associate with the firm working within the firm's commercial litigation, labor and employment, insurance coverage and professional liability practice groups. Ms. McArthur has substantial experience in handling contract and commercial disputes, and has litigated and advised clients in a broad range of areas, including ADA, FMLA, and race and gender discrimination and harassment, environmental and permitting issues, railroad litigation, and securities litigation and regulation. Ms. McArthur has experience in federal and state trial and appellate litigation as well as arbitration before both FINRA and the American Arbitration Association.
After graduating from Washington and Lee University, magna cum laude, with special attainments in Commerce in Business Administration and Accounting in 2005, Ms. McArthur attended Duke University School of Law where she earned her J.D. in 2008. While in law school, she was the Lead Editor for Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law and a member of the Business Law Society and Women Law Students Association.
