With profound respect and deep personal sorrow, we commemorate the life and legacy of George A. Frilot, III, our founding partner, who passed away recently in Florida. Born on June 9, 1934, in New Orleans, Mr. Frilot’s journey was marked by a fierce dedication to the legal profession, a trailblazing spirit in trial advocacy, and a heartfelt commitment to our firm and its people.
Mr. Frilot’s illustrious career began with his graduation from Loyola University Law School in 1958. His vision and legal acumen were the cornerstones upon which Frilot LLC was built in 1995. For over fifty years, he shaped the legal landscape of Louisiana, earning recognition and numerous awards for his contributions to trial advocacy.
Those who knew Mr. Frilot knew of his relentless work ethic, a trait he attributed to his father's influence, and his belief that success in law requires not just preparation, but the willingness to pour one's heart and soul into the work. His competitive spirit, honed on the tennis courts where he was a nationally ranked senior player, translated into his legal strategy—knowing when to be assertive and when to engage adversaries with reason and grace.
Mr. Frilot’s memory will live on in the halls of Frilot LLC, in the wisdom he imparted to us, and in the indelible mark he left on the legal community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who were privileged to know him.
