His wide range of clients includes banks, secured lenders, real estate developers, contractors, hospitals, agribusinesses, energy companies, retailers, and offshore service providers. Although he is based in New Orleans, he handles cases throughout Louisiana and around the country. REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE: - Successfully argued before the Louisiana Supreme Court on the issue of enforceability of arbitration agreements. - Worked as lead counsel for the secured lender in a foreclosure action involving a $4 million shopping center in Louisiana, resulting in its seizure and sale by the U.S. Marshal. - Successfully defended residential mortgage loan originator and servicer in multiple cases throughout Louisiana involving mortgage lending practices, fair credit reporting, and breach of contract. - Published an article in the Agricultural Law Update entitled Judgments for Willful Seed Patent Infringement Deemed Non-Dischargeable - Authored Castano v. American Tobacco Company: America's Nicotine Plaintiffs Have No Class,' published at 58 Louisiana Law Review 647. - Gave lectures to attorneys and banking professionals on the issues of Louisiana fraudulent transfers, foreclosures, and evictions. | ||||
