Andrew S. deKlerk is a founding partner of the firm. He co-leads the Admiralty & Maritime Practice Group and has led Frilot to be recognized as a leading maritime firm in the Gulf South. He has significant experience in representing domestic and international P&I Clubs, commodities traders, marine suppliers and tug and barge owners. Handling both land-based and offshore incidents ranging from personal injury, property damage, collision and allision, defense and indemnity obligations pursuant to contract, as well as insurance coverage issues, Mr. deKlerk is able to successfully handle the diverse legal matters arising out of the maritime industry.

Mr. deKlerk received his L.L.M. in Admiralty, With Distinction from Tulane Law School in 1980. Soon after, he began teaching in the Admiralty Program at Tulane Law School which he has now done for over 20 years.
