Frilot Makes Donation to the Louisiana Civil Justice Center

new orleans, LA (APRIL 26, 2010) — Thanks to a recent donation from Frilot LLC, the Louisiana Civil Justice Center (LCJC) will be able to assist more individuals in need of their services and will be able to move forward in attaining their expansion goals.

Frilot LLC donated and delivered a Savin 4051 copier to the LCJC located on the third floor of the Louisiana Bar Center in New Orleans. The copier, which has a value of over $20,000, functions as a high speed digital copier with network printer, scanner, auto document feeder, finisher/stapler, duplex and much more.

“Frilot’s donation could not have come at a better time”, said Julieta Marotta, Coordinator at the Louisiana Civil Justice Center. “The LCJC has been using a small, rundown copier or paying an outside printing center to generate brochures and helpful legal information for individuals requesting assistance. With the donation of this wonderful copier, our day to day operations will run more efficiently, and we will now be able to more effectively provide our services to the community.”

After the Louisiana Bar Association informed Frilot of the Justice Center’s need, the firm’s Management Committee, along with firm partner Renee Culotta, made the donation possible. “We are pleased to support Louisiana Justice Center in its efforts to provide legal assistance to individuals in need," said Leslie Ehret, member of the Frilot’s Management Committee.   "At Frilot, we are deeply committed to giving back to the community in which we have built our firm.”

The Louisiana Civil Justice Center (LCJC) emerged in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and Rita as a “Call Center” to provide callers with immediate answers to basic legal questions and to serve as a referral source to legal aid programs. The Center has continued to grow and is now moving forward to become a centralized intake and referral source for civil legal services statewide. Connecting Louisiana residents in need with legal issues involving such areas as estate planning, financial matters, employment issues, elder law, immigration and housing, the LCJC has become an essential asset for the civil justice community.
