NEW ORLEANS, LA (January 2008) Frilot attorneys, James R. Silverstein and Renee G. Culotta, recently obtained a defense verdict in a trial in the 24th Judicial District Court for Jefferson Parish, State of Louisiana, on behalf of Louisville Ladder. In Ordoyne v. Louisville Ladder, et al, Suit No. 610-498, the plaintiff sued the defendant seeking damages pursuant to the Louisiana Products Liability Act, La. R.S. 9:2800.51, et. seq., for personal injuries that the plaintiff sustained when he fell off a fiberglass stepladder. The plaintiff alleged that the stepladder was unreasonably dangerous in construction and composition. The trial court found in favor of the defendant and awarded the plaintiff no damages.
